AFTERCARE
Remove bandage after a minimum of 3 hours or as directed by your artist. Wash gently with warm water and a mild, liquid soap.
Pat dry gently with a clean towel and apply a thin layer of moisturizer discussed with your artist.
Wash and moisturize twice daily for two weeks. For the first two weeks, always wash your hands thoroughly with hot water and liquid soap prior to moisturizing or touching your tattoo.
Approximately 3-5 days into the healing process, your tattoo will peel. This is normal; do not pick at your tattoo, scrub or otherwise try to help it. Picking can result in prolonged healing, pigment loss, and infection.
Keep your tattoo out of direct sunlight for a minimum of 1 month. After a month, use sunscreen any time you are in the sun.
No soaking in water (swimming, baths, sauna, hot tub, etc) for 2 to 3 weeks or until your tattoo is totally healed.
Second skin aftercare:
Ideally, the bandage may remain in place for 2-5 days.
If you experience fluid leaking from the bandage, any redness around the bandage, itching, burning, hives, or something that doesn’t seem normal, remove the bandage immediately under running water, wash and follow aftercare instructions.
